    Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

     The GM Toi Taiao is responsible for driving the environmental aspirations of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei while unwaveringly championing the environmental outcomes of Tāmaki Makaurau. This role shall ensure the descendants of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei are more informed and connected to their natural environment.

    The GM Toi Taiao will develop and form strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, be capable of delivering outputs to achieve KPIs, continue to draw on Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei customary practices & mātauranga to inform all workstreams and continue to develop innovative ways to advance Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Māia collective and environmental outcomes.

    In addition to environmental outcomes, the GM Toi Taiao will play an integral role in the realization of the planned capital legacy projects of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. This will include contributing to the projects' strategic planning, design, and implementation.

    This permanent full-time role will lead the Toi Whenua and Toi Tuhono team and is also part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

    Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Essential skills/experiences for the role:

    • Mātauranga Māori and knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi 
    • Proficiency in Tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori in previous positions – an advantage 
    • Tertiary qualification in Business/Environmental Management or related fields
    • Experience (5+ years) in a managerial role, with demonstrably strong people management skills, environment and cultural leadership
    • Experience (5+ years) working in the environmental sector
      Demonstrates financial proficiency
    • Strong understanding of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei histories
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – Essential
    • Full (clean) New Zealand driver’s license

    We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses to work as part of a multidisciplinary team based at our various sites at Ōrākei Health Services, Toi Toi Manawa and the local community. 

    These roles involved working with the community to improve health outcomes and address health inequities, with a particular focus on: 

    • Tamariki Ora Well Child Nurse
    • Outreach Nurse 
    • Practice Nurse 

     Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Essential skills/experiences for the role:

    • You must be NZ registered with current annual practising and CPR certificates.

    Preferred but not essential:

    • Tamariki Ora Nurse - Postgraduate Certificate 
    • Current Vaccinators Certificate (training provided)
    • Clinical experience and passion for primary care and primary care nursing
    • Proven quality improvement experience
    • Knowledge of Te Reo Maori/Tikanga
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Nurse prescribing authorisation

    Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

    We are looking for a Kaiwhakatau Manuhiri (Puna Administrator) to work with the awesome team at our Puna Reo in Ōrākei. 

    This position aims to ensure the front desk welcomes manuhiri positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. The Te Puna Reo Administrator is the first point of contact for our whānau and tamariki and offers administrative support to our kaiako and Tumuaki.  This role will also maintain tamariki enrolment and attendance, engage with whāanau, assist with rosters, hui and health and safety and maintain the Discover childcare management system.  This role also has responsibilities around funding, reporting and compliance.

    Our ideal candidate:

    • Provides a warm, friendly, and proactive approach
    • Experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
