    Our Practice, Orakei Health, Ngati Whatua, is looking for a GP. We are very flexible, offer good rates, and offer holistic services such as HC, health navigator, HIP, and iwi support. 

    Flexible with templates (and not overloaded) and balance of Telehealth and onsite work if that would suit your situation.

    Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

    We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses to work as part of a multidisciplinary team based at our various sites at Ōrākei Health Services, Toi Toi Manawa and the local community. 

    These roles involved working with the community to improve health outcomes and address health inequities, with a particular focus on: 

    • Tamariki Ora Well Child Nurse
    • Outreach Nurse 
    • Practice Nurse 

     Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Essential skills/experiences for the role:

    • You must be NZ registered with current annual practising and CPR certificates.

    Preferred but not essential:

    • Tamariki Ora Nurse - Postgraduate Certificate 
    • Current Vaccinators Certificate (training provided)
    • Clinical experience and passion for primary care and primary care nursing
    • Proven quality improvement experience
    • Knowledge of Te Reo Maori/Tikanga
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Nurse prescribing authorisation

  • Senior Project Specialist

    The Trust is recruiting a Fixed Term Senior Project Specialist to initially work alongside (and then manage in the absence of the current incumbent), a range of construction projects collaboratively across the Trust team. 

    Specifically, the focus of this role is project management & co-ordination continuity for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei’s new community sports and recreation hub in the heart of the Ōrākei neighborhood alongside a range of minor projects. You will likely come from a commercial construction or related professional services or trades background, seeking an opportunity to work on Projects that make a significant impact on the communities served. 

    Successful performance in the role will be indicated by your ability to:

    • Deliver key outcomes and milestones
    • Develop project planning, workflow, and reporting
    • Proven ability to optimise Project resources to achieve required outcomes and deadlines
    • Prioritise multiple tasks with competing deadlines
    • Proven ability to synthesize the dynamics of multiple projects and determine stakeholder strategies, contingency planning and planning reviews 
    • Ability to clearly communicate project plans to internal and external key stakeholders
    • Prioritise multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities
    • Proven ability to manage large budgets and funding streams

    Key accountabilities:

    • Develop and plan elements of work streams
    • Work with team to understand priorities, activities and commitment to milestones
    • Identify and manage issues and risks
    • Document process flow
    • Schedule and facilitate Project Team meetings
    • Demonstrates knowledge and commitment to Te Ao Māori 

    Key Capabilities

    • Extensive project management, project co-ordination or construction capital works experience (10 – 15 years)
    • Deep understanding and stakeholder relationships formed from years of working within Tāmaki Makaurau
    • Superb judgement and decision making
    • Ideally a deep empathy for and ability to influence within an iwi context
    • Politically and commercially savvy
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to balance high work achievement drive with collaboration and ability to influence to get the best outcomes

    This is a unique opportunity to learn from the current incumbent and then lead an important stream of work which will make a real difference for the wider community. 

    This is a fixed term contract due to a vacancy arising from maternity leave cover.
